The Hammond Historic District Commission (HHDC) is working to re-clarify what the 1980’s establishing ordinance term “facing” means regarding properties that are located on the perimeter of the Historic District. The term ‘facing’ was previously redefined in 2015 by the City of Hammond which unincorporated structures previously considered in the district for the past 35 years. Specifically, the proposed language change will determine if your property is included in the Hammond Historic District.

There will be no formal voting or approvals.

This Public Forum Session will be held at 5:00 PM in the Hammond City Council Chambers located at 312 E Charles Street.
